UAE Air Defences Intercept 4 Ballistic Missiles and 6 UAVs from Iran

Abu dhabi: Air defence systems of the United Arab Emirates intercepted 4 ballistic missiles and 6 drones on 15th March 2026 coming from Iran. Since the start of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 298 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,606 UAVs.

According to Bahrain News Agency, these attacks have resulted in the death of six people from Emirati, Pakistani, Nepali, and Bangladeshi nationalities. Additionally, there have been 142 minor to moderate injuries among individuals from a wide range of nationalities, including Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepali, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, and Swedish.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE affirmed its preparedness to address any threats and stated it will confront any attempts to undermine the country’s security. The Ministry emphasized the importance of ensuring the protection of the nation’s sovereignty, security, and stability, while safeguarding its interests and national capabilities.
