Manama: In a move reflecting the advanced status of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) locally and internationally, Turkish Airlines announced its sponsorship of sporting events in Bahrain through its partnership with REHC as the official carrier for the "RoyalTea" evening during the 2025/2026 horseracing season.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this partnership is the first of its kind for Turkish Airlines in Bahrain's sports sector, reflecting international companies' confidence in REHC's development plans and its prestigious reputation in organising sporting and community events.
The agreement was signed by Yusuf Osama Buheji, CEO of REHC, and Mustafa Dokmetas, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Bahrain Office, in the presence of several officials from both sides.
Yusuf Osama Buheji said selecting REHC as Turkish Airlines' gateway for sports initiatives in Bahrain highlights the Club's pioneering position and confidence of international institutions in its development vision. He added this cooperation opens new opportunities for international partnerships in equestrian sports and horseracing.
He noted the "RoyalTea" evening is one of the Club's most prominent events, achieving widespread success over the past two seasons, with upcoming enhancements planned in partnership with Turkish Airlines.
Mustafa Dokmetas expressed pride in signing Turkish Airlines' first sports sponsorship agreement in Bahrain with REHC. He said the cooperation reflects the company's commitment to supporting excellence and innovation in high-end sporting events that embody authenticity and progress.
He added sponsoring the "RoyalTea" evening supports excellence in entrepreneurship and sports. The racing evening, a highlight of the Bahraini horseracing season, offers a unique and enjoyable experience that has earned praise and remarkable success through diverse entertainment and family activities engaging the horseracing community.
