Transportation Ministry Undersecretary Engages with UNDP to Boost Development Initiatives

Manama: Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, received Asmaa Shalabi, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bahrain. The undersecretary emphasized the significance of enhancing cooperation and coordination with UNDP to support Bahrain's progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on initiatives related to the transport and postal sectors.According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting highlighted strategies to strengthen partnerships in sustainable development areas, with an aim to support diversified and inclusive growth aligned with the country's development goals. Discussions included reviewing issues of mutual interest and underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration to bolster development efforts and initiatives.
