Transportation Minister Commends King’s Designation of 2026 as Year of Isa Al Kabeer

Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, commended the royal order by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa designating this year the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer" in honour of the Kingdom of Bahrain's founder of the modern state and key figure in its institutional development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed said the initiative reflects His Majesty the King's commitment to preserving national memory and educating new generations about Bahrain's history, highlighting the key milestones that built the modern state and its institutions, based on wisdom, moderation, good governance, justice, and the rule of law. He noted that this has strengthened the Kingdom's standing regionally and internationally as a model of security, peace, stability, and development.

He added that Bahrain's ongoing development under the leadership of His Majesty the King, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, builds upon the historical path established by His Highness Isa Al Kabeer and previous generations, linking past and present and reinforcing the continuity of leadership in advancing the modern state.

The Transportation Minister noted that designating the year as the Year of Isa Al Kabeer represents a national milestone, reflecting the leadership's vision and the cohesion of the Bahraini people. He added that it highlights their history, culture, and values of loyalty, tolerance, and coexistence, which support social stability and the sustained development of the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King and directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
