Manama: The hospitality establishments in the Kingdom of Bahrain are a key and strategic partner in the success of the tourism sector, given their active role in achieving the objectives of the Tourism Sector Strategy 2022-2026, said Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism. She noted that the world-class level of hospitality services provided in Bahrain has directly contributed to consolidating the Kingdom's position as a distinguished tourist destination that meets the highest quality standards and reflects its unique tourism identity and authentic Bahraini hospitality.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this statement was made during her meeting with representatives of the hospitality sector, during which the main statistics and achievements related to the performance of the tourism sector this year were reviewed. The meeting also discussed means of cooperation and partnership during the Celebrate Bahrain 2025 season, and the development plans and joint efforts between the Ministry and hospitality establishments.
The Tourism Minister explained that the hospitality sector forms a key component of the national tourism ecosystem, stressing that the close partnership between the Ministry and hospitality establishments directly contributes to improving service quality and enhancing the overall tourism experience. She added that the successes achieved during past Celebrate Bahrain seasons reflect a spirit of cooperation and integration between the public and private sectors, noting that the upcoming season will feature more diverse events and tourism experiences, further strengthening the Kingdom's position as an integrated family and entertainment destination in the region.
Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), commended the role of hotels and tourism establishments, which represent a main pillar of the sector's infrastructure and a key component of the tourist experience. She affirmed that continued cooperation with these establishments has led to the launch of innovative tourism packages combining accommodation, events, entertainment, and shopping during the Celebrate Bahrain season, enhancing the Kingdom's appeal to visitors.
Representatives of the hospitality sector expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and the BTEA in attracting tourists to the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming their commitment to providing the best services and offerings to the Kingdom's visitors during the Celebrate Bahrain season, thereby contributing to positive growth indicators for the sector and strengthening Bahrain's position on the regional and international tourism map.
