Manama: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, recently met with Dalal Ahmed Al Qais, CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank, to discuss expanding cooperation to support tourism investment and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the tourism and events sectors in alignment with the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026 and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. Al Sairafi highlighted the critical role of SMEs in diversifying Bahrain's tourism offerings and enhancing visitor experiences. She emphasized the importance of partnerships with national development institutions to foster entrepreneurship, support business growth, and boost the Kingdom's competitiveness as a tourism and investment destination.
Al Qais affirmed the Bahrain Development Bank's commitment to fortifying strategic partnerships with government entities. She also explored innovative financing solutions to help tourism and events sector SMEs expand and capitalize on investment opportunities, thereby supporting Bahrain's sustainable economic development.
