Supreme Islamic Affairs Council Convenes Third Regular Session

Manama: The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council, chaired by Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, convened its third regular session of the sixth term.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the council took the opportunity, coinciding with the observance of the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (PBUH), to extend congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Family, the government, the people of Bahrain, and the Islamic Ummah.

The council emphasized the significance of recalling the Prophet's noble life, character, and message of tolerance, suggesting that these principles should serve as a foundation for unity within the Islamic community and the strengthening of its shared goals.

Additionally, the council reviewed plans and programs for the years 2027 and 2028. It discussed developments in mosque projects, including tenders for mosque maintenance and construction. The council also approved recommendations for three projects in the Northern Governorate, which include the construction of a new mosque and associated facilities.
