Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa, Ambassador-designate of Ukraine to Bahrain, who resides in Abu Dhabi. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both nations to enhance their bilateral relations and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Hassan Eid Bukhammas, a Member of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security committee. During the discussions, Al Musallam praised the evolving partnership between Bahrain and Ukraine, emphasizing the need to further develop these relations in a manner that benefits both countries.
Al Musallam stressed the significance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation through the activation of parliamentary friendship committees. He also highlighted the importance of coordinating efforts at regional and international platforms to support peace, security, and development.
Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa, the Ukrainian Ambassador, expressed gratitude for the strong ties between Ukraine and Bahrain. He showed keen interest in advancing cooperation in various fields and praised the Council of Representatives for its active role in fostering parliamentary and diplomatic relations.
