Manama, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has lauded the depth of the Bahraini-French relations thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and President Emmanuel Macron, stressing that the steady growth of relations between the two friendly countries has contributed to broadening horizons of joint cooperation for their best interests.
The speaker made the statements while receiving here today the French Ambassador to Bahrain, Jérôme Cauchard, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker, MP Abdulnabi Salman.
She praised the two countries’ interest in enhancing their relations, hailing the steady progress of the distinguished ties between the two countries in all fields, especially the parliamentary one.
She affirmed the Representatives Council’s keenness to enhance its cooperation with the French National Assembly, through the exchange of expertise and experiences.
The speaker expressed thanks to the French Republic for its positive stances, and praised Ambassador Cauchard’s role in further extending the solid bridges of cooperation between the two countries and bolstering bilateral cooperation during the Coronavirus pandemic, wishing him further success.
The envoy expressed delight at the meeting, stressing his country’s keenness to broaden areas of cooperation with the kingdom.
He commended the efforts exerted by Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing the kingdom further progress and prosperity.
