Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, to mark the Council's attainment of the ISO 42001:2023 certification for Artificial Intelligence in Parliamentary Work. Speaker Al Musallam highlighted the significance of this achievement, which places the Kingdom of Bahrain's Council among the first globally to earn such recognition.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Speaker Al Musallam emphasized that this accomplishment is a result of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has been advocating for the use of AI and technology to advance national work. Al Musallam praised Al Buainain and the General Secretariat for their efforts in digital transformation and the application of AI in supporting parliamentary operations.
Furthermore, Al Musallam noted that the Council's commitment to embracing innovation and modern technologies is in alignment with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. This recent certification follows the Council's earlier accreditation with ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, showcasing its dedication to both technological advancement and environmental responsibility.
