Manama – Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, extended his congratulations to Saqr Ghobash on his election as Speaker of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council (FNC). Al Musallam highlighted the significance of this appointment in the context of Gulf and Arab parliamentary collaboration.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam remarked that Ghobash’s unopposed election is a clear indication of the high regard in which he is held by his parliamentary peers, acknowledging his skills, contributions, and efforts in advancing parliamentary work in the UAE. He also noted Ghobash’s role in strengthening Gulf Cooperation Council, Arab, and international parliamentary cooperation.
He expressed the Council of Representatives’ eagerness to enhance parliamentary cooperation with the UAE’s FNC across various development fields, reaffirming the strong and longstanding fraternal relations between Bahrain and the UAE.
