Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, emphasized that human solidarity is a fundamental component of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s humanitarian approach, as exemplified by the care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Bahrain remains committed to supporting international cooperation and providing humanitarian and relief assistance as part of its diplomatic efforts. This commitment contributes to global stability and development, reflecting the Kingdom’s enduring principles and policies.
On the occasion of the International Day of Human Solidarity, celebrated annually on December 20, Al Musallam expressed the legislative authority’s admiration for His Majesty the King’s humanitarian efforts to foster solidarity rooted in Islamic values, cultural heritage, and deeply established traditions across national, regional, and international spheres.
The Speaker praised the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of RHF. The foundation plays a crucial role in supporting humanitarian and development projects, such as aiding orphans, widows, and vulnerable populations, and providing assistance to communities impacted by conflicts, disasters, and crises.
Al Musallam further acknowledged the significant contributions of Bahraini citizens and civil society institutions in various humanitarian and charitable activities, including voluntary initiatives that address community needs.
He also remarked that parliamentary diplomacy enhances Bahrain’s efforts to promote international solidarity and backs initiatives focused on peace, security, and stability, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026).
