Amman: Zeyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, took part in the 45th session of the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs Council at the senior officials' level. This event coincided with a high-level Arab and international conference on the implementation of the outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Darwish emphasized that social development is crucial for comprehensive development in the Arab region. He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's dedication to advancing this sector following the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government's policies led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Darwish highlighted Bahrain's efforts to bolster social protection policies and ensure their efficiency and sustainability.
He further noted that Bahrain's leadership during the 44th session contributed to enhancing joint Arab action. He stressed the importance of ongoing cooperation, experience-sharing, and the exchange of best practices among member states.
The conference saw the participation of Arab ministers and senior officials concerned with social affairs and development. The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States was also present to discuss priority issues and strengthen regional cooperation in social development.
