Shura Chairman Praises Crown Prince’s Directives on Mazaya Instalment Limit and Housing Expansion

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, commended the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to reduce the maximum monthly instalments for beneficiaries of the Mazaya programme and to expand housing options provided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh stated that the move reflects His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's vision to enhance citizens' quality of life through modern, sustainable housing solutions that promote family stability and social wellbeing.

He highlighted the government's commitment to advancing housing development and providing diverse options that meet citizens' needs, commending the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, led by Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, for implementing the new measures and engaging transparently with the public.

The Shura Chairman also commended the strong partnership between the legislative and executive branches, which plays a vital role in delivering national development goals under the "Team Bahrain" spirit.

He emphasised the Council's support for updating housing-related legislation to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of the national housing system in line with citizens' aspirations.
