Bahrain: The Bahraini Identity Consolidation Committee held its fourth meeting, chaired by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives: The meeting aimed to advance institutional efforts to strengthen national identity, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Buainain emphasised that the General Secretariat, under the directives of Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, continues to implement initiatives that reinforce Bahraini identity, promote loyalty and belonging, and integrate national identity into parliamentary and institutional work. He highlighted the preparation of specialised parliamentary publications and documentation of projects to serve as a national knowledge reference.
The meeting reviewed the Council of Representatives Award for National Identity Care, its objectives, and its role in encouraging institutional and community initiatives that reflect Bahraini identity. Participants also emphasised expanding workshops on national identity to raise awareness, enhance knowledge of national constants, and instill values across different age groups and professional sectors.
The Secretary General underscored the Council's commitment to highlighting Bahraini identity in its events, programmes, and publications, reflecting the Kingdom's civilisational heritage and supporting community partnership, in line with the National Action Charter, the Constitution, and Royal directives for the comprehensive development process.
