President of the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA), Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, received here today US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Margaret Nardi.
Dr. Mirza praised the efforts being exerted by the US Embassy to strengthen the deep-rooted relations between the two friendly countries, lauding the serious and unprecedented steps taken by President Joe Biden’s Administration, through its announced strategy aimed at achieving 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2035, and support for international efforts to achieve sustainable development and counter the effects of climate change.
SEA President gave a video presentation about the achievements of the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector in the kingdom, highlighting the areas of cooperation between SEA and the US Embassy.
He discussed the opportunities for exchanging expertise and encouraging investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, in particular the technologies applied to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, including those used for producing solar energy using photovoltaic panels, clean energy using wind energy, in addition to the green hydrogen technologies, and their use for energy storage.
Dr. Mirza appreciated the depth of relations between the two friendly countries, which contributed to enriching the aspects of joint cooperation in these vital and important areas in order to achieve the growth and development of the two countries.
Margaret Nardi expressed delight at the remarkable progress made by Bahrain in the field of sustainable energy, stressing the vital role played by the Sustainable Energy Authority in this regard.
She expressed the US Embassy’s readiness to broaden cooperation with SEA at all levels, expressing hope that the positive outcomes of the meeting would be translated into tangible joint projects that strengthen the two countries’ historical relations and achieve their common interests
