Manama: Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), emphasized the critical role of young people in national development, highlighting the importance of investing in their skills and knowledge as a cornerstone of Bahrain's youth development strategy.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement commemorating International Youth Day, Almoayed expressed that Bahrain's youth development approach is guided by a clear national vision. This vision prioritizes young individuals in the broader development agenda under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Almoayed praised the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Their efforts in supporting youth initiatives and programs have enhanced young people's participation across various national sectors.
He further explained that successful youth programs are rooted in understanding the priorities of young people, considering their ideas, and linking training and development with existing opportunities. This approach ensures that youth initiatives are in line with community needs and future demands.
Almoayed underscored the significance of collaboration among government institutions, national entities, and other partners in supporting young people, thereby broadening their participation opportunities. He reassured that the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports remains committed to backing initiatives that prepare young national talent with the necessary skills and experience to innovate, take initiative, and leverage available opportunities.
Concluding his remarks, Almoayed congratulated Bahrain's youth on International Youth Day. He emphasized that the success of the national youth ecosystem is gauged by its capacity to equip young people with the tools, confidence, and opportunities needed to transform their ambitions into actions, initiatives into impactful outcomes, and capabilities into enduring contributions to the nation.
