Manama: Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), emphasized the significance of Arab Youth Day as a platform to celebrate the contributions of young individuals to development and their critical role in advancing sustainable development goals.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Almoayed highlighted that Bahrain's strides in empowering youth are a testament to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Their leadership has fostered a national strategy focused on investing in human capital and enabling young national talent to actively participate in development endeavors.
Almoayed also acknowledged the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. His efforts have been pivotal in establishing an advanced national framework that enhances young people's capabilities and broadens their engagement across various sectors.
The Secretary General elaborated that the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports persistently implements initiatives and programs aimed at developing youth capabilities, fortifying leadership skills, and broadening participation in national development. These initiatives are designed to enhance the preparedness of the youth to align with global advancements.
He further noted that the accomplishments of Bahraini youth on local, regional, and international stages underscore their competence, ambition, and creativity, illustrating the efficacy of the Kingdom's approach to investing in human resources and empowering the youth.
