Manama: The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) convened for its 32nd regular meeting of the fifth session, led by SCIA President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Council extended its congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the citizens of Bahrain on the occasion of the Kingdom's National Days and the anniversary of His Majesty's Accession. The Council highlighted the achievements under Bahrain's ongoing development initiatives.
The meeting also marked Commemoration Day, where the Council paid tribute to the sacrifices of Bahrain's fallen servicemen and emphasised the significance of honoring their legacy. Additionally, members congratulated His Majesty the King on the successful hosting of the 46th GCC Summit in Bahrain, acknowledging the constructive outcomes that are set to enhance Gulf cooperation.
The Council reviewed updates on international engagements, including the Chairman's participation in an important Islamic conference in the Russian Federation. During this visit, meetings were held with senior officials in Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. Furthermore, progress on the Karzakan Mosque reconstruction project was discussed, with directives issued to complete the remaining procedures to commence work. The meeting also covered administrative reports, correspondence, and other agenda items.
