Moscow: Georgy Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and North Africa, received several Arab League ambassadors accredited to the Russian Federation. The meeting was headed by Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of Bahrain to the Russian Federation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ambassadors presented Deputy Minister Borisenko with a copy of the statement issued by the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level during its extraordinary session regarding Iranian attacks against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states. The statement stressed that these actions constitute a violation of international law, international conventions, and the principles of good neighbourliness, posing risks to the security and stability of Arab states and the wider region.
The meeting also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the role of the Russian Federation, as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, in supporting international efforts to halt the Iranian attacks against several Arab states, which have resulted in material damage and human losses, including to vital civilian infrastructure.
