Manama: Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Royal University for Women celebrated the graduation of its 18th cohort at the Exhibition World Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain, attended the ceremony and presented certificates to 99 graduates who completed their bachelor's and master's degrees. The ceremony also saw the presence of Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al Jahromi, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, and Khalid Rahma Al Doseri, a member of the University's Board of Trustees.
Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad expressed her appreciation to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim for her patronage and continuous support for Bahraini women in various domains, including higher education. She emphasized that this graduating cohort reflects the sustained national efforts to empower young Bahraini women with knowledge and skills to contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain's development. Her Highness commended the academic standards of the Royal University for Women, congratulating the graduates and their families and wishing them success in their future careers.
Professor Riyad Yousif Hamzah, President of the University, reiterated the institution's commitment to academic excellence and preparing graduates with the knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities needed to respond to global changes and contribute to sustainable development in Bahrain.
Graduates also expressed their gratitude to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim for her patronage of the ceremony and to HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad for attending and honouring them. They emphasized their commitment to continuing their path of achievement and serving the nation, and thanked their parents for their support throughout their studies.
