Accra:The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has been awarded the 2026 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Housing Award in the category of non-profit organizations for its impactful initiatives supporting families' housing needs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the award recognized the RHF for its significant contributions, which have exceeded BHD 1 million, towards supporting families, improving their housing and living conditions, and enhancing their overall stability and quality of life.
The RHF represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the award ceremony, which took place during the Fourth Gulf Housing Week. The event was attended by notable figures including Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, and various ministers, officials, and housing specialists from GCC countries.
Ibrahim Dalhan Al Doseri, Acting Secretary General of the RHF, accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation. He expressed gratitude for the support from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the RHF; His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister; and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the RHF Board of Trustees.
Al Doseri emphasized that the award, coinciding with the RHF's 25th anniversary, is a testament to the Foundation's dedicated efforts in developing initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of families and providing them with safe and stable housing environments.
