Manama: The Royal Academy of Police recently concluded its summer camp, which took place from August 16 to 29. The initiative is part of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Citizenship known as "Bahrainouna".
According to Bahrain News Agency, the camp offered an integrated programme featuring educational, awareness-raising, training, sports, and recreational activities. This comprehensive approach provided participants with a blend of learning, training, and interaction while utilizing their free time effectively. The camp aimed to strengthen national identity and reinforce values of loyalty, belonging, and citizenship. It also emphasized religious awareness, pride in Bahraini customs, and the development of responsibility and teamwork. Additionally, it aimed to promote dialogue, open-mindedness, and acceptance of others, ultimately reinforcing national values and preparing participants for future challenges.
The programme was designed to refine the abilities of participants, discover and properly guide their talents, and develop leadership and life skills. It also focused on enhancing dialogue skills, creative thinking, and decision-making abilities. Participants were educated about the risks of crime and deviance, introduced to concepts of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and made aware of future challenges, including labour market requirements. The camp encouraged seizing opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The camp included diverse educational, cultural, and awareness programmes, along with workshops aimed at developing personal, leadership, and life skills. It also featured scientific, technical, innovative, sports, recreational, and cultural programmes. Participants engaged in field visits to various national institutions, which allowed them to explore different fields and foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
Moreover, the programme promoted community partnership, emphasizing the importance of voluntary work and environmental responsibility. These activities contributed to strengthening the relationship between young people and state institutions. The camp aimed to prepare an aware generation capable of actively participating in national development and shouldering responsibilities for the future.
