Manama: The Royal Medical Services (RMS) has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Bahrain (UoB) aimed at enhancing medical education and training while promoting the exchange of academic and professional expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, and Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of RMS, in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement focuses on developing joint educational and training programs in medical fields, conducting and sharing scientific research, organizing conferences, courses, and workshops, and exchanging academic and medical expertise. It also aims to enhance clinical training and develop national capabilities to improve the quality of education and healthcare services.
Dr. Juma remarked that the agreement marks a significant step in advancing academic and research cooperation between universities and healthcare institutions in the Kingdom. He emphasized that the exchange of scientific and training expertise will help develop national talent and raise the standard of medical education and research.
Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa stated that the agreement aligns with the Services' strategy to support research, academic training, and knowledge exchange, contributing to the improvement of healthcare services and development of national competencies. The agreement reflects the Services' commitment to building strategic partnerships with academic and medical institutions in Bahrain in support of healthcare and educational development and service quality.
