Manama: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, engaged in a significant meeting with Dr. Ahmed bin Alawi bin Hafeedh Baaboud, Secretary General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU). This meeting took place during the 16th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Buainain underscored the influence of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's directives in enhancing Arab parliamentary diplomacy. He stressed the importance of fostering collaboration among Arab parliaments to support legislative initiatives and the broader interests of Arab nations.
Al Buainain also reiterated Bahrain's commitment to strengthening parliamentary ties with regional entities under the leadership of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives. This commitment aims to boost legislative performance and promote dialogue, integration, and regional stability.
Dr. Baaboud expressed appreciation for Bahrain's parliamentary division, acknowledging its active participation and contributions. He emphasized the significance of sustained cooperation and knowledge exchange to further joint Arab parliamentary efforts.
