Palestinian cause tops Arab issues

Kuwait, Officials of the Palestinian (WAFA), Libyan (LANA), and Tunisian (TAP) News Agencies assured on Saturday that the FANA Conference will be vital in highlighting major issues of the Arab world, and direct their efforts to a unified stance.

This came upon the arrival of the delegates to Kuwait, in separate statements to KUNA, for the 46th FANA Conference which will be starting Sunday, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of WAFA Ahmad Assaf said the goal of the Palestinian delegations is to unify the stance of the Arab nations on the Palestinian cause as the top Arab issue.

Assaf added, “We were keen to be present in this conference as a fulfillment to Kuwait’s positions vis-A�-vis the Palestinian cause and a strong

refusal of the Israeli occupation.”

Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub stated to KUNA the potential impact this conference can have in reflecting a more positive image and unified stance of Arab news outlets under the current tense circumstances.

The General Director of Tunisia’s TAP Lutfi Al-Arfaoui said he is looking forward to meeting the officials of FANA to discusses the outcomes of the previous resolutions and plans.

He added this current phase requires being more realistic scale to get the most out the technological developments and social media.

He also assured the authentication of operation of communication between journalists of the Arab news agencies to guarantee a more positive reflection among people to benefit from each other’s experiences.

Libya’s LANA Director Ibrahim Al-Mijberi said he is looking forward to the meeting of FANA’s General Assembly to discuss the cooperation of media mechanisms and the development of the Arab news agencies.
