Omani Boats Triumph in Rowing Race at HH Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season

Manama: Omani boats dominated in the Popular rowing race for the cup of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the 3000-metre race saw the Omani boat "Belarab", led by skipper Hamid Salem Al Bahri, claim first place. "Bahrain's Eisar" 1, captained by skipper Abdullah Khalifa Al Hadi, took second, while the Omani boat "Ahd Oman", led by skipper Hamoud Salem Al Bahri, finished third. This event marked the third race of the eighth edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season.

In its eighth edition, the Nasser bin Hamad Season for Marine Heritage Sports is one of the premier events celebrating Bahrain's deep-rooted maritime history. The season features a series of championships and sea races held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The popular rowing competitions this season also included two major races for the cups of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Heritage Cup. The events attracted wide participation from skippers and sailors from Bahrain and other GCC countries, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for this traditional sport, which remains a symbol of national identity and pride in Bahrain's maritime legacy.
