Nouruddin and Hussain Triumph in Young Heritage Swimmer Race Under Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Sports Season

Manama: The open-water junior swimming race, 'Young Mawrooth Swimmer,' concluded near the Bahrain National Museum as part of the eighth Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season. The event saw participation from around 80 swimmers from across the Kingdom, including several expatriates, who competed vigorously in two age categories.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the 12-15 age group (400 metres) saw Ukrainian swimmer Timur Nouruddin securing first place with a time of 4:49.73 minutes. He was followed by Jassim Mohammed Harban, who completed the race in 4:53.16 minutes, and Hussain Adel Al Banna, who finished with a time of 4:56.17 minutes.

In the 16-17 age group (600 metres), Adam Hussain Mohamed emerged victorious with a time of 7:29.35 minutes. Issa Khalid Abdulaziz claimed second place, finishing in 7:40.68 minutes, while Abdulrahman Mustafa Al Khaja took third place with a time of 7:53.09 minutes.

The organisers noted that the race was conducted under ideal conditions and was supervised by the Coast Guard, Civil Defence, Royal Medical Services, and marine rescue teams to ensure the highest safety standards. The event is part of the Nasser bin Hamad Marine Heritage Season, which aims to promote marine sports among youth and encourage participation in a safe, organised environment that reflects Bahrain's rich maritime heritage.
