NIHR Chairperson Emphasizes Partnership with BIPD to Enhance Human Rights Awareness

Manama: Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), highlighted the importance of the Institution's partnership with the Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) in strengthening human rights awareness and building expertise. He noted that this collaboration has helped advance specialised training programmes and improve professional capabilities on both sides.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Derazi stated that the Institution places significant importance on institutional partnerships that reinforce its human rights work. The Institute is a key partner in delivering training programmes, workshops, and specialised lectures aimed at promoting democratic culture, encouraging constructive political engagement, and fostering dialogue and the exchange of perspectives.

Al Derazi further mentioned that the Institute provides structured educational programmes that enhance understanding of constitutional rights and national participation, supporting the Institution's efforts to promote human rights awareness across all segments of society. He emphasized that the cooperation between the two bodies exemplifies effective joint work to advance Bahrain's human rights landscape through initiatives that complement the Institution's mandate to uphold rights and freedoms and to build a community aware of its rights and responsibilities.

He concluded by expressing his appreciation for the Institute's efforts in both political and human rights fields and wished for the continued development of joint training programmes that enhance human rights performance and strengthen public awareness.
