Manama: Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), chaired the regular meeting of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTIPs), held remotely. During the meeting, Talib reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to strengthening institutional frameworks and improving government coordination to maintain an effective national system to combat human trafficking. He also highlighted the Kingdom's continued support for relevant UN and international initiatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Committee reviewed key agenda items focused on protecting rights and enhancing Bahrain's regional and international role. Additionally, the Committee followed up on upcoming programmes, including Bahrain's hosting of the seventh Government Forum to Combat Trafficking in Persons in the Middle East.
