Municipalities Minister Meets HIPO-YOUTH Participants

Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, met with participants in the eighth edition of the national leadership programme HIPO-YOUTH, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with the Bahrain Society for Human Resource Management, at Youth City 2030. The minister affirmed that investing in and empowering Bahraini youth is a key pillar of the Kingdom's comprehensive development, stressing the importance of fostering teamwork, initiative, and innovation to enable young people to contribute to national development and shape the future.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister highlighted the importance of transferring expertise and providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership capabilities, describing Bahraini youth as a key national asset. During the meeting, Minister Al Mubarak also outlined the Ministry's key areas of work, including municipal and agricultural services, food security, and environmental initiatives, notably the afforestation plan targeting 3.6 million trees by 2035 and the Bahrain Mangrove Initiative, which aims to quadruple mangrove trees by 2035.

The meeting featured an interactive discussion, during which the Minister answered participants' questions and heard their views and suggestions.
