Manama: Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, inaugurated the A'ali Walkway development project in the Northern Governorate. The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs; Dr. Sayed Shubbar Ebrahim Al Wedaei, Chairman of the Northern Area Municipal Council; Mohammed Saad Al Sahli, Director General of the Northern Area Municipality; and Abdulla Abdulhameed Ashoor, Municipal Council member representing the Northern Governorate's Sixth District.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister and attendees toured the walkway and reviewed the development works, which included replacing the flooring, maintaining shades and sanitary facilities, upgrading the lighting system with solar-powered lights, installing security cameras, maintaining the sports area, expanding landscaping, and installing a mist cooling system.
A'ali Walkway is an important sports and recreational facility in the Northern Governorate. Its walking track extends for approximately one kilometre, and the facility covers around 23,175 square metres. It includes a range of sports and recreational facilities, including exercise equipment and designated play areas.
