Director-General of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security Brigadier Bassim Mohammed Al Miraj and some officers have participated in the sixth Interpol meeting of police chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa. The event was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) in Lyon, France, from September 20-21.
During the meeting, the Director-General delivered a speech highlighting the importance of international cooperation in combating organised and emerging crimes. He noted the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to enhance continuous cooperation and coordination with concerned authorities in the MENA region. He thanked Interpol for its efforts in linking the countries of the world through an advanced system and providing criminal databases that contribute to the speedy arrest of criminals.
