Manama:The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has launched an upgraded commercial registration ownership transfer service through the Commercial Registration Portal, Sijilat. This service enhancement allows users to apply directly for ownership transfers without needing electronic authorization.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the new service reduces the application process from six steps to four, streamlining procedures and improving the user interface. It also involves a 25% reduction in the necessary approvals for obtaining the service, along with improvements to existing systems and standardized service information across all channels.
The upgraded service has been migrated from Sijilat 3.0 to Sijilat 4.0, which further simplifies the application process. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, stated that this development is part of the Ministry's goal to enhance service efficiency through digital solutions and process re-engineering.
These efforts are designed to make services more accessible, improve the beneficiary experience, and bolster Bahrain's business environment competitiveness. As part of broader government efforts, over 1,300 government services have been documented, with 800 undergoing development and re-engineering.
These changes were informed by feedback from the National Suggestions and Complaints System, investor feedback, and mystery shopper reports. New guidelines and service-level agreements have also been introduced to improve procedural efficiency, service quality, and support the government's digital transformation initiatives.
