Manama: The Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee (Mawrooth) Championship concluded at the Post Museum in Bab Al Bahrain drawing wide participation from various age groups. The event aimed to preserve Bahrain’s intangible heritage and revive traditional games by presenting them in a competitive format that engages younger generations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in the Hand game, Ahmed Ali Hassan, Salman Hussain, and Yousif Ahmed Rashid secured the top positions. In Dominoes, Hussain Ali Abbas, Sayed Hussein Shubber Hashem, and Faisal Ali Abdulla took the lead.
Team Al Abtal won the Koat 6 competition, followed by Isa Town and L.ALRIFFA. In the Carrom Doubles, Ricky team placed first, with Foulath and Al Nimer in second and third.
The Committee thanked all contributors and underscored its commitment to organising heritage events that reinforce national identity and social cohesion.
