Manama: Masar Group, a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company "Mumtalakat" and a leading provider of marine and logistics services, has signed an agreement with The Captain's Club to launch a boat club aimed at introducing new and diverse marine services, the first of their kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initiative will enable sea enthusiasts to drive boats instead of owning them at an affordable and accessible cost.
According to Bahrain News Agency, The Captain's Club is the largest boat club in the region, offering a distinctive alternative to boat ownership. It allows members to enjoy driving boats themselves after completing training, avoiding the complexities of ownership while saving them over 90% of the usual costs. With more than ten years of experience in the Arabian Gulf, the club operates a fleet of over 200 boats including fishing boats, speedboats, watersports vessels, sailboats, and cabin cruisers, catering to various preferences.
Through this agreement, which was signed on the sidelines of the Gateway Gulf 2025 Forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain, members will be able to enjoy boating after completing specialised training, ensuring an easy and safe sailing experience. This model offers an alternative to traditional boat ownership, granting members regular access to boats and enhancing their maritime experiences without the usual burdens and responsibilities.
The agreement was signed by Yusuf Khalifa Al Manea, CEO of Masar Group, and Zaid Shouli, CEO of The Captain's Club, in the presence of representatives and board members from both sides.
On this occasion, Husain AlQaseer, Chairman of Masar Group, stated: "We believe in supporting innovative initiatives that contribute to diversifying the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain's position as a regional hub for marine and tourism services. This partnership between Masar Group and The Captain's Club represents a strategic step toward providing advanced and accessible marine services to all. It also reflects our commitment to encouraging sustainable business models based on effective partnerships. We look forward to seeing this initiative grow and deliver tangible positive impact".
Zaid Shouli, CEO of The Captain's Club, said: "We began our journey more than ten years ago with the aim of providing a smart and innovative solution for sea enthusiasts. Our expansion across the GCC countries reflects our vision of making the boating experience accessible to everyone. Entering the Bahraini market is a strategic step to expand our impact and strengthen our presence in a promising and pivotal region".
Yusuf Khalifa Al Manea added: "We are proud of this partnership, which will support efforts to continue enhancing, diversifying, and advancing marine services in the Kingdom of Bahrain".
The club currently operates more than 20 locations across the GCC, including 13 in the United Arab Emirates, two in the Sultanate of Oman, two in the State of Qatar, two in the State of Kuwait, and one in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Bahrain branch marks the club's first in the Kingdom, representing a strategic expansion in the region and underscoring the growing success and demand for its innovative services.
