Gudaibiya: Deputy King of Bahrain His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa recently highlighted that Malaysia's hosting of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is a testament to the enduring and robust relationship between Bahrain and Malaysia. This sentiment was expressed with the support of King of Bahrain His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
According to Nam News Network, Prince Salman bin Hamad conveyed his appreciation to Sultan Ibrahim for his blessing in holding the race in Malaysia. He also extended gratitude to Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for his cooperation and support in organizing the prestigious event.
The Deputy King's comments came during a meeting with Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain, Datuk Shazryll Zahiran, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting was attended by several senior officials and underscored the importance of collaboration between the two nations.
Prince Salman further acknowledged the contributions of Formula 1, the F©d©ration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Bahrain International Circuit, and Sepang International Circuit, along with participating teams, in ensuring a smooth transition of the race to Malaysia. He emphasized the need to continue building on existing cooperation to enhance mutual interests and explore further opportunities.
In their discussions, regional and international developments, as well as issues of common interest, were also addressed. Ambassador Shazryll expressed his gratitude for Prince Salman's steadfast dedication to the bilateral relationship and wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
