Manama:Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, Deputy Minister of Interior, recently met with Dr. Rana Al Faris, Chairperson of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), during the sixth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing direct cooperation between Bahrain and Kuwait's anti-corruption authorities. Both parties emphasized the need for practical joint initiatives to support national efforts and strengthen bilateral collaboration in combating corruption.
The discussions included preventing and combating corruption through the exchange of expertise and successful practices. This collaboration aligns with the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention and other relevant regional and international frameworks.
Lieutenant General Al Fadhel and Dr. Al Faris also addressed the implementation of conventions, follow-up on decisions and recommendations from the Conference of the States Parties, and technical consultations of mutual interest. They highlighted the value of national experiences in supporting regional and international anti-corruption agreements.
Additionally, the meeting covered exchanging expertise in promoting institutional integrity and transparency, raising awareness about corruption risks, fostering a culture of integrity, and leveraging successful programs and initiatives in both countries.
