Labour Minister, Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met in his office with Executive Council Chairman of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al Hurr), Yaqoob Yousef Mohammed, who was accompanied by Board Chairman and members of the Free Pensioners Centre (under establishment).
They reviewed the main trade union achievements in the Kingdom of Bahrain and means of boosting cooperation between the Labour Ministry and the trade union organisations within the framework of social dialogue between the three production parties.
The Labour Minister was informed about the goals of the Free Pensioners Centre which is set to be launched by Al Hurr in the upcoming phase. The centre will comprise a host of retirees and aims to serve this category and benefit from their long experience in training the young competencies.
The Labour Minister underlined the positive contribution of the trade union organisations, stressing the importance of joint coordination to further improve the work environment.
Al Hurr Executive Council Chairman praised cooperation between both sides, pointing out the Labour Ministry’s support to human resources and its tireless efforts to promote the trade union work.
