Manama:The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Kuwait has denied reports suggesting a resumption of transit operations at Kuwait International Airport. The suspension will remain in place until further notice, prioritizing passenger and aircraft safety amid the current regional security climate.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdullah Al Rajhi, spokesperson for the General Authority of Civil Aviation, stated that there had been no coordination with Jazeera Airways or any other airline regarding the resumption of transit activities. This was reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Al Rajhi further mentioned that administrative and legal actions have been initiated against the airline for violating regulations by announcing transit bookings without official approval. He emphasized that the suspension status is under ongoing review in accordance with security needs. Any future changes or updates on air traffic and transit operations will be communicated through the Authority's official channels.
