Kuwait city: The State of Kuwait condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian missile and drone attack targeting the country. In a statement, the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack targeted a power generation and water desalination plant, causing a fire and damaging several electricity generation units, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry stated that the attack constitutes a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and a serious breach of international law, international humanitarian law, the Charter of the United Nations, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026).
It stressed that the continuation of such aggressive acts represents a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, defies international legitimacy, and undermines efforts to reduce tensions and reach peaceful solutions.
The ministry also emphasised Kuwait's inherent right to take the necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability in accordance with international law.
