Kingdom of Bahrain Supports Syria’s New Agreement with Syrian Democratic Forces

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the announcement by His Excellency Ahmed al Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, regarding a new agreement reached with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement aims for a ceasefire, the enhancement of security and stability in conflict areas, the integration of SDF into the Ministries of Defence and Interior, the reinforcement of state authority in the eastern and northeastern regions, and the transfer of control over oil fields to the state, among other measures that uphold the unity and sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm and steadfast support for the security, stability, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as for the progress of its constitutional institutions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasised that this support reflects Bahrain's commitment to helping fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, social stability, sustainable prosperity, and the restoration of Syria's active role in its Arab and international surroundings.
