Manama:His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, who is in Bahrain for the Joint Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Russia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Lavrov conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to King Hamad, along with wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity. In response, King Hamad extended his greetings and best wishes to President Putin and the Russian people.
During their meeting, King Hamad and Minister Lavrov discussed the strong bilateral relations between Bahrain and Russia and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation across various domains. King Hamad emphasized the mutual commitment to further strengthen these ties and highlighted the importance of the close friendship between the two nations.
King Hamad expressed his appreciation for President Putin's role in bolstering the relationship between Bahrain and Russia, which is characterized by mutual respect and coordination. He also praised Russia's solidarity with Bahrain following recent Iranian attacks and acknowledged Russia's contributions to global security and peace.
