King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Deputy Chairperson Betsy Mathieson said that the center will keep building on its achievements, particularly cooperation partnerships and agreements.
“The King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence has taken the initiative to sign agreements related to children and youth and provide them with the appropriate qualification to meet the challenges of today, in order to make them leaders for the future,” she said as she met Brazilian Senator Nelson Trad Filho.
“Education is no longer confined to books and school curricula, and there is an urgent need to acquire more knowledge and develop greater awareness to be able to confront the new challenges and to deal with the technological developments and modern threats, including cyberterrorism, hatred speeches and mobilization against religions and beliefs.”
Senator Trad Filho has lauded the remarkable steps and outstanding initiatives taken by the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence to spread peace and tolerance and advance dialogue based on knowledge and enlightenment.
The senator called for further coordination and cooperation to contribute to new educational programs for youth and benefit from various views, ideas, opinions and the exchange of experience and expertise.
