KHGC and RHF Collaborate for Children’s Event on World Children’s Day

Manama: The King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance organised educational and recreational activities for children to mark World Children's Day, observed annually on November 20. The event was held with the participation of children from the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).

According to Bahrain News Agency, the programme included interactive activities combining learning, play, and shared experiences to promote values of tolerance, acceptance, cooperation, and teamwork. It featured educational, cultural, and artistic games, in addition to a short film produced by the Centre on the principles of coexistence.

The Centre expressed its appreciation for organising the event in partnership with the RHF, noting that the initiative forms part of its efforts to raise awareness among children and young people about tolerance, understanding, and respect for religious and cultural diversity, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Centre said that holding the event on World Children's Day reflects Bahrain's commitment to promoting children's rights and wellbeing, and to providing environments that support their growth within a culturally and religiously diverse society. It added that such initiatives help instil values of respect, understanding, and coexistence and contribute to preparing a generation capable of engaging positively with people of different faiths and cultures.
