Muharraq: Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, renovate, and restore 60 mosques under the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Councils across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, opened the Hessa Al Bakr Mosque in Muharraq, following the completion of comprehensive maintenance work.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Maawda commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in supporting places of worship, reflecting their central role in the spiritual and social life of Muslims.
He also noted that this approach reflects the ongoing commitment to reinforcing the role of mosques as centres of guidance, promoting tolerant religious values, and upholding the principles of moderation and coexistence.
