Judicial and Legal Studies Institute Celebrates Graduation of Fifth Legal Practice Programme

Manama: The Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) recently celebrated the graduation of the fifth batch of participants from its Professional Legal Practice Certificate (PLPC) programme. The ceremony was attended by senior judicial, legal, and government officials.

According to Bahrain News Agency, a total of 27 graduates successfully completed the programme, which is designed to equip Bahraini legal professionals with the necessary professional and language skills to operate in an international legal setting. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, highlighted the programme's role in fostering collaboration between the institute and specialised legal institutions, aiming to develop national legal talent and enhance practitioners' ability to practise law in English.

The six-month PLPC programme offered a comprehensive curriculum covering specialised topics such as legal ethics, legal research and drafting, contracts and corporate law, financial transactions, digital transformation and justice, alternative dispute resolution, real estate law, and professional skills development. The graduation ceremony also acknowledged the contributions of organisations that supported the programme and honoured the achievements of the graduates.
