AMMAN – Dr. Mohammed Khalaileh, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, issued a directive on Sunday for mosques across Jordan to serve as shelters during the ongoing adverse weather conditions.
According to Jordan News Agency, in a circular, the minister ordered that all vacant residences of mosque employees be utilized as centers to provide shelter for people stranded or potentially affected by the current wet air mass impacting the Kingdom. This initiative represents a significant step in offering immediate relief and safety to those adversely affected by the weather, utilizing the widespread network of mosques across Jordan to deliver necessary aid and protection during this challenging period.
