Jordan: 36 Iranian Missiles and Drones Target Country’s Territory in Third Week of War

Manama: The Jordan Armed Forces announced that 36 missiles and drones targeted Jordan during the third week of the Iranian attacks on the country.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Military Media Directorate of the Jordan Armed Forces reported that they dealt with dozens of missiles and drones launched from Iran toward Jordanian territory. It was noted that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and destroyed 14 missiles and 21 drones, while one attack was not intercepted.

The total number of missiles and drones launched towards Jordan since the outbreak of the conflict reached 240, of which 222 were intercepted and destroyed by the Air Force. However, 18 evaded the defences.

The Military Media Directorate emphasized that the Jordan Armed Forces are committed to protecting the nation and defending it from attacks, using all their capabilities to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that 114 reports were received this week related to debris from missiles and drones. Civil defence and police teams dealt with these incidents across most governorates. One child was injured and received treatment before being discharged from the hospital.

The spokesperson added that since the start of the conflict, a total of 414 debris incidents have been recorded, resulting in 24 injuries, all of whom have since left the hospital. He also renewed warnings against gathering near or tampering with any foreign object or debris due to the danger, stressing the need to follow official advice and instructions issued to citizens and residents.
