Baghdad: The Republic of Iraq announced that its armed forces had shot down four suicide UAVs that attempted to target army units in the Makhmur district, confirming that the attack was thwarted without any casualties among military personnel or civilians.
According to Bahrain News Agency, in a statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Defence and carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), it was reported that the relevant authorities have begun taking the necessary measures and following up on the circumstances of the incident. The statement stressed that the armed forces are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to confront any threat targeting the security of the country and to continue their duties in protecting the stability of Iraq and preserving its unity and capabilities.
